Cholesterol Screening and Cardiac Risk Assessment


Cost: $19.00 (cash or check only, please)

Ada County Office (in Boise): The first Tuesday of every month; This is a walk-in clinic between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. | 707 N. Armstrong Pl., Boise | 208-375-5211

Elmore Office (in Mountain Home): Clinics are held every three months. This is a walk-in clinic between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. | 520 E. 8th Street, Mountain Home | 208-587-4407

Clinics are scheduled for:

  • November 8, 2017

Everyone age 20 and older should have their cholesterol measured at least once every five years. The higher your LDL level and the more risk factors you have the greater your chances are of developing heart disease or having a heart attack.

Screening includes HDL/LDL levels, Cholesterol/HDL ratio, triglycerides, blood pressure check, and nutrition and exercise guidelines.

Before your screening

You must fast for 12 hours and drink plenty of water to hydrate your veins. Recommend no alcohol for 48 hours before your visit. Clinic also includes a free blood pressure check.

A few days after the Cholesterol Screening clinic you will receive your test results. The document below is an example of typical lab results.
